The 26th annual Hardlines Conference wound up this week with a final round of impressive speakers. Speaking remotely by Zoom, BMR merchandising VP Charles Grégoire-Béliveau discussed how the company’s multi-banner strategy helps it serve different clienteles.
Joanne and Rob Lawrie, Home Hardware dealer-owners from Nova Scotia and past Outstanding Retailer Award winners, told the story of how their business grew from a single store purchased from Rob’s parents. Finally, Doug Stephens of Retail Prophet outlined how supply chains need to be reformed in order to withstand the next global crisis.
The 27th Hardlines Conference is set for Oct. 17 and 18, 2023, at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, in Whistler, B.C.
