HDI reports Q2 gains

Hardwoods Distribution Inc. posted Q2 earnings of $1.76 per diluted share, up from $1.14 a year earlier. Sales soared by 107.2 percent to $700.3-million, a year-over-year increase of $362.2-million. In Canada, sales for the quarter rose by $11.9-million, or 20.6 percent, from Q2 of 2021. For the first half of the fiscal year, Canadian sales were up by $30.5-million or 28.5 percent.
