LONDON — Henkel CEO Kasper Rorsted will stay on at least until his current mandate ends in 2017, in order to oversee the expansion of the firm’s brands in the U.S., the Danish-born executive told Bloomberg News in an interview this week. “We need to consistently become bigger in the U.S.,” said Rorsted, who wants to boost brands like Persil detergent and Schwarzkopf shampoo in the American market. Rorsted, who has been at the helm since 2008, countered speculation that he might seek a position elsewhere, but could not comment on his plans past 2017 as German law does not allow for a renewal of his contract before its final year.
