WASHINGTON — U.S. home builders kept their confidence in April, as the National Association of Home Builders/Wells-Fargo index remained at 58 for the third consecutive month, showing what the NAHB called “slow but consistent” growth. While the sales outlook for the next six months and the gauge of buyer traffic edged up, builders’ assessment of the current sales picture declined. A stronger labour market bodes well for the construction sector, but recruiting workers may pose a challenge.
