CALGARY — Home Depot broke ground here on a rapid deployment centre, its first in Western Canada, the Calgary Herald reports. The 425,000 sq. ft. centre at Dufferin North Industrial Complex joins the retailer’s Vaughan, Ont., RDC and will create 150 jobs according to Home Depot. Calgary mayor Naheed Nenshi welcomed the build, adding it’s the kind of project the site was developed for. A 640,000 sq. ft. stocking distribution centre is being built alongside the RDC, the first time the company has placed both facilities together, Home Depot Canada president Bill Lennie noted.
