Home Hardware Stores Ltd. announced the opening of its newest location in Sherrington, Que. Quincaillerie Sherrington will operate under the Home Hardware banner when it opens in March 2022.
“It has been our long-time dream to own a Home Hardware store in Québec,” said Jean Fredette, who is dealer-owner along with partners Martine Boyer, Pier Alexandre Boyer-Couture, and Ève Desbiens.
Construction on the 9,000 square foot store, which will feature 7,500 square feet of retail space, began in October and is expected to take several months. Sherrington residents have been without a hardware store since the local Unimat closed in late 2018, forcing customers to make the 20km trip to Saint-Cyprien-de-Napierville to fulfil their needs.
