ST. JACOBS, Ont. — FedEx Canada has inked a deal with Home Hardware which will allow it to set up full-service shipping centres in participating dealer-operators’ stores. FedEx is calling the agreement “the most comprehensive Canadian retail expansion in the company’s history,” according to Report on Business in The Globe and Mail. Home Hardware welcomed the increase in foot traffic and mutual benefit for both firms. Going into the 2013 holiday shopping season, FedEx estimated that some 60% of Canadians would opt for some form of e-retail.
