ST. JACOBS, Ont. — Drew Merrett, dealer-owner of Merrett Home Hardware Building Centre in Peterborough, was awarded the 16th annual Paul Straus Public Relations Award during Home Hardware’s Fall Shareholders’ Meeting in St. Jacobs, Ont. in late September. The store was celebrated for its efforts in fundraising and dedication to social causes. Drew Merrett was recently featured on Global News Peterborough after saving a kitten from a tree with the store’s hydraulic lift. Merrett HHBC supports several charitable events including serving food every Wednesday at the Lighthouse Community Centre and participating in the Walk a Mile in Her Shoes and Run for Mental Health events.
