Home Hardware’s garden ends successful season

Home Hardware staff and volunteers harvested hundreds of pounds of fresh produce this summer from the Home Hardware Community Garden in St. Jacobs, Ont. “I am incredibly proud of our staff and all of the community volunteers who worked so hard this year to provide close to 3,700 pounds of fresh fruit and vegetables to local charities,” Scott Bryant, VP of human resources, said in a release.

This year, donations went to the food hamper program at Woolwich Community Services Food Bank in Elmira, Ont., and the Meals on Wheels program of Community Support Connections in Breslau, Ont. This is Home Hardware’s sixth consecutive year harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables for community members in need. Since 2016, Home Hardware has donated more than 17,000 pounds of produce to local charities.
