Sales of existing Canadian homes jumped by 11.3 percent in April compared to the previous month. Greater Toronto and the B.C. Lower Mainland in particular were hotspots for growth. The actual (not seasonally adjusted) number of transactions for the month came in 19.5 percent below April 2022, a markedly smaller decline than those seen over the past year.
