COLLINGWOOD, Ont. — Howard R. Huehn, one of Canada’s first Home Hardware dealer-owners, has died at the age of 98. After his service in the Second World War, Huehn returned from Europe with his Dutch bride Corey Christiaan to his hometown of Heidelberg, Ont., where he owned and managed the Heidelberg General Store for several years. Howard is survived by his children Anita Welker (Peter) and Terry Huehn (Grace Aitcheson) along with five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
