RICHMOND HILL, Ont. — Jack King died last week after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis, the day after his 85th birthday. His career took him from White Hardware to Bannister & Jenkins Home Hardware before he struck out on his own as a manufacturer’s agent and a member of the Housewares and Hardware Independent Representatives of Canada. King is survived by his wife, Willa, their son John and daughter-in- law Lisa, and grandsons Thomas and Matthew.
