UNION, N.J. — John Hartmann will leave his post as CEO and president at True Value Co. in May to take up the role of chief operating officer of Bed Bath & Beyond and president of buybuy BABY. In his new position, which takes effect May 18, Hartmann will oversee an overhaul affecting everything from IT and supply chain to real estate. In a statement, Bed Bath & Beyond CEO and President Mark Tritton said Hartmann “will accelerate the execution of our vision to make it easy to feel at home with Bed Bath & Beyond, helping rebuild a modern, durable business and a deeper connection with our loyal customers across our portfolio of brands.”
