FREEPORT, Maine — Clothing and outdoor equipment retailer L.L. Bean is opening its first Canadian store in 107 years. Oakville Place Shopping Centre in Oakville, Ont., will host the first Canadian location for the chain, which announced last year it was looking to expand here over the next decade. The 13,000-square-foot store is slated for an August 23 opening. L.L. Bean is teaming up with Toronto’s Jaytex Group to bring the banner north. A Canada-specific website was launched last month.
