Lowe’s Canada recognized for sustainability

Lowe’s Canada has received its second Energy Star Canada Special Recognition Award for its sustainability initiatives, including its ECO product program. Implemented in its network of Lowe’s, RONA, and Reno-Depot corporate stores, as well as in participating dealer-owned stores, the program highlights over 5,000 products with a smaller environmental footprint, including hundreds of Energy Star certified products.

“By offering and promoting the benefits of a wide variety of ECO products such as Energy Star certified products, we not only provide our customers with more eco-friendly alternatives, but we also have a positive impact on consumer awareness about more sustainable choices,” said Jean-Sébastien Lamoureux, senior VP, public affairs, asset protection, and sustainable development, said in a release.
