BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — Lowe’s celebrated this week the grand opening of its first big box store in the Edmonton-area community of Sherwood Park. Strathcona County City Councillors joined Jim Caldwell, Executive VP for Lowe’s Canada Big Box Retail, and Lowe’s employees for an official board cutting and community grant donation presentation to Little Warriors / Be Brave Ranch. The new store represents an approximate local investment of more than $29 million and will create 130 jobs, with an additional 30 seasonal positions. The store will offer about 40,000 products in-stock and will feature approximately 86,000 square feet of retail sales space and an adjacent Garden Centre which includes approximately 20,000 square feet. Grand opening events continue through the weekend.
