JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Lowe’s has introduced new prepaid debit card for its contractor customers. “Lowe’s PreLoad” lets pros download money onto the card and then use it in Lowe’s stores to purchase job-site equipment and other necessities without the need for personal or corporate cards. The service is being provided through FIS, a financial services technology company based in Jacksonville, Fla. The payment system is now available at Lowe’s stores in the U.S., enabling them to automate a full range of purchasing activities, from budgeting and allocation of funds to real-time tracking and visibility of expenditures. Lowe’s PreLoad also offers 5% off purchases.
