MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Lowe’s is testing the use of its Holoroom technology to boost customer confidence in DIY projects. The pilot program, Holoroom How To, follows on research indicating that many DIY customers hesitate to begin projects for want of confidence and the right skills. The “virtual reality skills clinic”, which made its debut at a Massachusetts store, allows customers to practice projects in simulation, right down to the feel of a tool in their hands.
