Lowe’s says it has nearly halved greenhouse gas emissions since 2016

Lowe’s issued its 2022 Corporate Responsibility Report recently. In it, the Mooresville, N.C.-based chain gives itself high marks for its greenhouse gas emissions. They are down 49 percent since 2016, the world’s second-largest home improvement retailer reports.

Energy consumption at Lowe’s was reported to be down six per cent since 2021. Collaboration with suppliers, electrification, and renewable energy in manufacturing processes helped drive the results, the company says. It further states that 86 percent of its “strategic suppliers” have set sustainability goals.
