Muji eyes expansion in Canada

TORONTO — Cutting-edge Japanese home retailer Muji is looking to create a network of seven or eight Canadian stores by the end of the decade, the Financial Post reports. The “no-brand brand”, which is slated to make its Canadian debut in November in Toronto, wants overseas stores to outnumber those in Japan within two years. The expansion efforts will likely involve another Toronto store before reaching into Vancouver and other markets if the company has its way.
