TORONTO — Plans for a mall including a Walmart have disappeared from RioCan’s latest proposal to the city of Toronto for a downtown lot it’s developing. The former Kromer Radio at the edge of Kensington Market drew the ire of local residents and independent retailers who prize the area’s thriving small business scene. The proposal will be presented to the public later this month before going to council for a vote, the Globe and Mail reports.
