Newell Rubbermaid, Jarden explore merger

ATLANTA ― Newell Rubbermaid is in talks with consumer goods manufacturer Jarden, a source close to the deal has told the Wall Street Journal. The terms being discussed have not been reported and the Journal acknowledges that they may not result in an agreement. A Jarden representative declined comment while Newell Rubbermaid could not be reached.
