Tyler Nowochin, dealer-owner of Nowco Home Hardware in Lacombe, Alta., has been named 2021 Young Retailer of the Year (Annual Sales Under $2M) by the North America Hardware and Paint Association (NHPA). Now in its 25th year, the program recognizes individual achievement by retailers age 35 and younger throughout Canada and the United States.
“To be acknowledged with this calibre of talent from across North America is both humbling and incredible,” Nowochin said in a release. “This is truly a testament to the efforts of our dedicated team.” Tyler, the store’s third-generation owner in the Nowochin family, purchased the store in 2010. The NHPA to hold a one-hour virtual event for the honourees on May 5 at 2 p.m.
