RONA Fort Erie this week presented $46,600 to Community Outreach Program, Erie. In support of the Lowe’s Canada Heroes Campaign, the store team under manager Jeff Hill held a benefit performance called “Fort Erie Rocks!” on Sept. 17. It featured Juno-winning rock band Honeymoon Suite (lead singer Johnnie Dee pictured third from left). For their fundraising efforts, RONA Fort Erie earned the Marc Robichaud Community Leader award at this year’s Outstanding Retailer Awards, presented during the 26th Hardlines Conference in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
