PETERBOROUGH, Ont. — Merrett Home Hardware outstripped its goals at this weekend’s Merrett Home Hardware Run for Mental Health, raising triple the funds it had set as its objective. Organizers of the event were aiming to sign up 140 participants and raise $500, but a total of 270 registered, with proceeds amounting to $15,000, Kerri Davies, development manager for the local Canadian Mental Health Association, told the Peterborough Examiner. The CMHA is, jointly with YES Shelter for Youth and Families, beneficiary of the donations raised by participants in the 10k, 5k, and 2.5k runs.
