The new Ontario budget, announced last week, includes a second installment of the Ontario Small Business Support Grant. The first round of funding, released in January, offered grants of $10,000 to $20,000 to businesses with fewer than 100 employees and whose revenues had fallen by more than 20 percent.
Businesses that received assistance in January are automatically eligible for the same amount. Unlike federal programs, the Ontario grants are available to new businesses.
