TORONTO — Ontario will enter Stage 1 of its economic recovery on May 19, Premier Doug Ford announced, allowing all construction projects to resume. All retail stores outside of malls with a direct street entrance may reopen, with limits on customer traffic remaining in place. Restrictions on in-home services such as painting, maintenance and repair will also be lifted. Media operations that cannot produce remotely will be permitted to return to their offices, while those that can are encouraged to continue working from home during Stage 1.
