A Toronto-area custom furniture maker was commissioned to make chairs for Pope Francis’s visit to Canada, The Globe and Mail reports. Maple, Ont.-based Quality and Company constructed a chair for each of eight public events during the papal tour, which began over the weekend. The company itself bore 90 percent of the cost of the chairs, which run between $6,000 and $7,000 a piece.
