Liesemer Home Hardware in Mildmay, Ont., celebrates its 150th anniversary from June 15 to 17. An anniversary sale featuring special promotions will be accompanied by refreshments including brisket and cake. Founded in 1873 by Conrad Liesemer, the hardware store has been family-owned and operated for five generations (pictured: Peter and Jared Liesemer). It was among the first stores to join Home Hardware back in 1964. The original building with its hardwood floors continues to serve the business after 150 years.
