TORONTO — Ontario’s government is due to announce today the timeline for its first phase of economic reopening, which will include “lifting essential workplace limits on construction” and permitting retail stores outside malls to operate. CBC News has obtained a draft of a news release which is expected to be the basis of a press conference today where Premier Doug Ford will announce the date of the province’s “Stage 1” measures. The government has declined to comment on what it called an “unverified” release.
