TOLEDO, Ohio ― Corporate Responsibility magazine has named Owens Corning number one on its 100 Best Corporate Citizens list for 2019. This is the fifth year in a row Owens Corning has been named to the list: last year, it ranked third. “It is an honour to earn the number-one ranking on this year’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens list,” said CEO Brian Chambers. “Our team is committed to living our purpose, that our people and our products make the world a better place.” The 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking is based on 134 corporate disclosure and performance factors in seven categories: climate change, employee relations, environment, finance, governance, human rights and stakeholders and society. Other firms making the list this year are 3M Co. (at #22) and Weyerhaeuser (#59).
