P.E.I. lifts mask mandate

Retailers in Prince Edward Island may welcome customers without a mask beginning today. The province has downgraded the requirement for indoor masking to what chief public health officer Heather Morrison calls a “strong” recommendation. The move leaves Quebec as the last province with a mask mandate for most indoor public spaces. That requirement is due to be lifted on May 14, with a few exceptions including public transit.
