VAUGHAN, Ont. — Next Plumbing and Hydronics Supply packed and handed out 500 survival kits for people living on the streets and in encampments in Toronto last week. The homeless situation has been made worse by the rise of the COVID pandemic, resulting in overcrowding in shelters. Workers at Next Plumbing donated their time to set up the warehouse, make sandwiches, sew masks, buy extra items, create cards, assemble kits with items donated by suppliers, load trucks and make the deliveries.
