QUEBEC CITY — Quebec’s residential construction workers are among employees heading back to work this month as Premier François Legault announced an expansion of the list of priority services exempt from closures. The government and public health officials will make sure that protocols to protect workers are in place, including maintaining a distance of two metres between them, but Legault said “we don’t want to add a housing crisis on top of the crisis we’re currently experiencing.” Building will resume next Monday. Garden centres will be allowed to reopen beginning tomorrow. Currently, Quebecers can buy garden equipment and supplies in person only at big box stores.
