BOUCHERVILLE, Que. — RONA has announced that the Superior Court of Quebec has issued a final order under the provincial Business Corporations Act approving the company’s proposed acquisition by Lowe’s. The green light brings the deal one step closer to the final hurdle of federal authorization by the Competition Bureau. It has already garnered the unanimous recommendation of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec and the approval of RONA’s shareholders.
