SEATTLE — Amazon is the biggest online retailer in the Canadian market by a large margin, accounting for 7% online sales, and is poised to snap up even more market share. According to a BMO Capital Markets study, Amazon “could triple or quadruple its revenues in Canada over the next few years.” The company made up nearly $1.5 billion of Canadian e-retail sales in 2013, the Toronto Star reports, dwarfing the combined total online sales of Walmart, Costco, Target, Home Depot, The Bay, Best Buy, Lowe’s, and Chapters/Indigo.
