The RONA Foundation, RONA inc.’s philanthropic arm, announced it has contributed $1,017,200 to Opération Enfant Soleil (OES) and Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Between late March and early May 5, employees of corporate and affiliated stores across the country (pictured: Red Deer, Alta.), six distribution centres, and the Boucherville head office collected donations in person and online, sold raffle tickets, and solicited suppliers.
In Quebec, RONA was once again the official materials supplier for the Maison Enfant Soleil designed by Bonneville Homes. With the help of 14 suppliers and a corporate contribution, the network sponsorship was valued at $129,645, almost the entire cost of building materials for the house. Participating stores in the province sold raffle tickets for a chance to win the house.
