Lowe’s Canada announced that dealer-owner Carlos Munoz has acquired the Quincaillerie A. Pouliot store in Beauharnois, Que., and converted it to the RONA banner.
With a total footprint of 20,000 square feet, the store includes an 11,500-square-foot sales area and a 6,000-square-foot indoor lumber yard. Founded in 1966 by the family of André Pouliot, the store was sold in 1974 to Jean-Guy Brazeau, whose son Daniel took over in 1990.
“Having worked for them in the past, I know RONA very well,” Munoz said in a release. “That’s why I didn’t hesitate for a second, when I bought this hardware store, to join the RONA affiliated dealer network. The previous owner, Daniel Brazeau, will stay on to ensure a smooth transition, and I’m particularly delighted to be able to rely on such a great team.”
