HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. — Saint-Gobain and Honeywell have offered a final settlement with this Albany-area village, near the Vermont border, over water contamination discovered in 2014. The $850,000 deal must be approved by the municipality’s board today, and factors in the costs of detecting the damage and of preventive measures against future contamination, says Mayor David Borge. Compensation for the legal, engineering, and communications consultants retained by the village are also included.
