Lumber production by sawmills increased 0.3 percent from September to 4.66 million cubic metres in October, StatCan reports. Production was 8.4 percent lower than in October 2020. Sawmills shipped 4.48 million cubic metres of lumber in October, down 4.9 percent from September and 8.9 percent from October 2020.
