HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. — Sears in the U.S. is selling paint again. The giant mass merchant dropped the category in 2012, but has added back in, citing customer demand. To start, 23 stores will try out the new lines, which include its own Weatherbeater and Easy Living brands. Sears will also launch a line of paint, under the Craftsman name, for use on metal, porches, and garage floors. The news comes on the heels of Sears’ latest quarterly results, with net sales down 8.8%.
