MONTREAL — Sika announced it will acquire King Packaged Materials Co., maker of shotcrete, grouts and mortars for the construction, mining and home improvement industries. King operates a facility in Sudbury that includes offices, a fabrication shop and an equipment shop. Other Ontario locations are in Brantford, Burlington and Oakville, while the company also has operations in Boisbriand, Que., and Allentown, Pa. “With the acquisition of King and its broad and highly complementary product offering, we will further strengthen our presence in Canada and open up exciting new cross-selling opportunities,” Christoph Ganz, regional manager for the Americas at Sika, said in a release.
