TORONTO — Historic Quebec clothing retailer Simons is branching out in its online offerings, adding home furnishings and accessories like rugs, lamps, and artworks. The “digital decor space” includes more than 100 items by Canadian designers and brands such as Pink & Brown, Torre & Tagus, Umbra, and Samantha Pynn. The web-only offerings round out Simons’ bricks-and-mortar inventory, including home fabrics like towels and linens. “In home decor we have a lot of interest online,” CEO Peter Simons told the Financial Post. “And we have been working to keep the website very complementary with our stores.”
