MINNEAPOLIS — Target has been the victim of one of the largest credit card hacking schemes in America. Some 40 million Target customers had their credit and debit card information stolen by hackers during the Christmas shopping season. The criminals stole names, payment card numbers, expiration dates, and security codes. Authorities believe that up to 40,000 card devices in stores were compromised. The U.S. Secret Service is investigating.
