MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — The fate of Target’s Canadian operation is in the hands of CEO Brian Cornell, according to The Street, with the results of an extensive review expected to be announced no later than the company’s quarterly report in late February. The frontrunner to acquire the banner’s Canadian stores is Cornell’s former employer, Wal-Mart, which already has 391 stores in the country.
