MISSISSAUGA, Ont. — Target Canada is hoping to reverse its fortunes this holiday season, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports. The banner has been operating at a loss since its entry into Canada a year and a half ago, even though officials at the time expected it to turn a profit within its first year. In response, the company has been tackling the inventory and ordering problems which have dragged down its numbers. Target reps have been stubbornly reticent about any closures, insisting that its focus is instead on fixing its Canadian operations.
