TÉMISCAMING, Que. — Mining company MGX Minerals has reached a deal with Tembec to buy a 38ha property containing the forestry firm’s former Cranbrook mill in the B.C. city’s industrial park, the Cranbrook Townsman reports. MGX has paid $3.7 million for the site in a transaction expected to be finalized by December 15. The location was home to a Tembec sawmill until 1998, and a planer mill which closed in 2010 and burned down two years later.
