Throwback Thursday: Ten years ago, Target opened 20 more stores in Canada

In our July 8, 2013 edition of Hardlines, we reported that Target Canada “will open an additional 20 stores in Canada this month, adding to the 48 locations already operating across the country.”

With these 20 additional stores, we said, Target “has reached beyond the halfway point of its aggressive goal of opening 125 Canadian stores in 2013.” Target would eventually reach 133 Canadian stores before it pulled out of this country in April 2015. Its attempted expansion into Canada had lasted just over four years.
