Tool shoplifters strike again at Windsor, Ont., Home Depot

Police are looking for five male suspects who stole $5,000 in tools on Jan. 17 from the Home Depot near Windsor, Ont., International Airport. Police say a “distraction technique” was used to divert the attention of store staff, while the others loaded up. Store security cameras show the suspects departing the scene in a black SUV that looked like a Dodge Journey.

In October 2022, the Windsor Police Service arrested 12 people after more than $700,000 in thefts were reported in a six-month period at the two Home Depot stores in the city.
