Tractor Supply posts higher sales, profits

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. ― Tractor Supply Co. reported that Q4 net sales increased 2.7% to $2.19 billion, from $2.13 billion in the fourth quarter of 2018.  Comparable store sales increased 0.1% versus an increase of 5.7% in the prior year’s fourth quarter. Net income was $144.2 million, or $1.21 per diluted share, compared to net income of $136.9 million ($1.11) a year prior.
